L’ŒiL DE KO
Nathalie Guihaumé
The digital art gallery L’Œil de KO emerged from the desire to share what has accompanied Studio KO’s practice over the years: objects found, kept, sometimes forgotten, but never indifferent. These are pieces that do not belong to a single category or to a specific period. What they share is something far simpler and more essential: at some point they were chosen because they evoked enthusiasm. Over time came the desire to circulate them, to allow them to find new owners and new contexts. Before arriving here they had other lives, afterwards will continue on their path. L’Œil de KO exists precisely at this intermediate moment, when the object once again encounters a gaze capable of recognising it. A space where architecture, crafts and everyday objects converge. We spoke with Nathalie Guihaumé, the gallery’s artistic director, whose sensibility complements that of Studio KO, introducing new intuitions into the same universe.
